A great way to model how to stretch a sentence…
classroomcollective: Great way to motivate students to read or read 10 books by the end of the year.
Cute idea
At the end of the year (or multiple times during the year) have students write letters to the class for the following year. Include lessons that stood out to them and why, what they found to really help their learning, activities that were their favorite, anything that they would like to share with the upcoming students. Not only would that provide feedback on how students are receiving lessons, but it gives students the opportunities to give something back to future students. Let’s face it students are going to talk about you and your teaching methods whether you want them to or not. Might as well give them an outlet that you can monitor.
I’m the type of person that has a hard time keeping track of my thoughts, especially when I’m really interested in a book. I think this is a great way for students like me to record their thoughts.
